A very smooth and light take on a holiday ale
On Day 8 of Advent I had a tasty Altbier from 5 Stones Artisan Brewing.

Today’s Advent brew is from Meanwhile Brewing Company in Austin, Texas. Their take on a holiday brew is Jolly, a winter Lager. Canadian spruce tips were added to this Amber lager, along with lemon peel. Most winter/holiday ales are strong in taste and flavor (I’m not complaining) but Jolly is a refreshingly different take on the traditional holiday ale. Smooth, refreshing and I do like the hint of lemon and strawberries.
As for Meanwhile, I’ve been to their location out near Austin Bergstrom airport a couple of times and really like the place. They have a wide selection of beers, coffee, tea and non-alcoholic drinks. They also have several food trucks with a wide range of good food. The combination of a diverse selection of drinks and food guarantees you will have a good time there.
