Welcome to the 21st episode of Gus Tails where we look back at the life of Gus the Basset Hound. In our last episode (Episode 20) we saw the world from the perspective of Gus and his friends during late summer and early fall of 2014.
Anticipating Halloween with gusto, Gus prepares by taking strategically timed naps. Halloween was one of Gus’ favorite holidays as he loved greeting the Trick or Treaters at the front door. After all, every creature and person in the world was Gus’ friend.
And, as you can see from this photo Louise was prepared to scare the hell out of anyone who dares came to her front door.
While Tiger the cat was not that amused by his Halloween costume. He felt the fool.
Gus taking another of his strategically timed naps. He dares anyone to grab his gnaw bone and wonders if a curled ear is enough of a costume for him. After all, Gus was not a clothes horse. He felt the perfect blend of black, brown and white fur that he was blessed with was all he needed to be ready for any occasion.
Curry, on the other hand, enjoyed a good costume.
Post Halloween the weather is still cool enough that Louise chose to wear a sweater for the day.

Louise settles in for the evening and a good night’s rest.
While Dyna the feral cat wishes we would just leave her alone and assures us that she will let us know if she needs anything.
Gus finds the perfect spot on the couch, sprawled across a pillow, and in the sun for a mid-morning rest.
That’s it for Episode 21 of Gus Tails. Come back next week for Episode 22 where, you guessed it, you will see more photos of Gus and his friends, most of which have never been seen by anyone outside of Gus’ immediate family. Though a very extroverted dog, Gus did appreciate his privacy.
