Gus Tails - Episode 25
The continuing adventures of Gus the Basset Hound. In this episode we look back on the late winter and early spring of 2015.
Welcome to the 25th episode of Gus Tails where we look back at the life of Gus the Basset Hound. In our last episode (Episode 24) we looked at January and February of 2015.
Tiger was not too happy with his early afternoon nap being interrupted by me. I can hear him saying “Leave me alone, human. I will deal with you later, on my own terms, in my own time.”
In contrast, Louise and Curry did not react to me taking their photo. After all, it was nearly 7:00 pm and they were well into their early evening nap.
Tiger always enjoyed the scent and taste of fresh cut flowers. Notice Louise in the upper left hand corner in a strategic position that allows her to keep an eye on the neighborhood. Louise has been the security director of every neighborhood she has lived in. Crime and rascally rates always drop when Louise is on duty,
Another photo of Louise working hard to keep her neighborhood safe from squirrels, deer, people walking down the street and delivery people.
In contrast, Gus always took a more laid back approach to security. He believed in the goodness of everyone.
Curry and Louise liked the way the mid-day light highlighted their fur and insisted on a backlit photo.
Gus, resting his head on my knee, asks the important question “Isn’t it time for a snack?”
And now for some action! Be sure and watch the whole amazing video because otherwise you will miss Louise dancing.
A short time later that same day, Curry, tired of Louise’s and Gus’ antics, finds a high point and settles in for a nap.
Dyna the feral cat always, always enjoyed a good basket.
There is no better way to end this 25th episode of Gus Tails than with a photo of the man himself enjoying a nap on one of his many chairs.
Author’s note: We are celebrating twenty-five episodes of Gus Tails. It has been an interesting experience to sort through pictures I haven’t looked at in many years. All of my digital photographs have been dumped to a cloud container and other than being sorted by the date a photo was taken that’s been the extent of my organization. Putting together Gus Tails is the first phase of a more theme oriented organization.
Coming up next, in the 26th episode of Gus Tails, we will see more photos of Gus and his friends and hear more tails.
Gus is obviously an expert at naps. His dedication to practice naps pays off.
