On Day 5 of Advent I enjoyed a bock and a half.
You can always get to my post for the previous day of Advent and the post for the next day through the links in every post.
Friday, December, 6, 2024 was a bit of a disorganized day. I had a few things I needed to get done, got most of them started but didn’t get much finished. An example of what I didn’t get finished (really didn’t get started other than enjoying a good beer and taking the above photo) was my Day 6 post for Advent.
With that in mind, you get two Advents posts for today, one for yesterday, December 6th, and one for today, December 7th.
Lynn and I went to Vista Friday afternoon to pick up the December Barrel Club allotment (more on that in two future Advent 2024 posts). For the 6th day of Advent, let’s focus on the two beers in the photo (particularly the beer on the right).
The beer on the right is Vista’s Mighty, a Marzen (fest) beer. I’m a big fan of the Marzen style and this one did not disappoint, in fact it was delicious.
Coming up later today in the official Day 7 post, a powerfully strong Imperial Stout, very appropriate for a dreary, wet Saturday in Driftwood, Texas.
That beer on the left? That’s a Vista LITE, an American light lager. Lynn enjoys this one. I do too, but when Mighty is on tap, I stick with my Marzen habit (not an addiction, just an enjoyable habit).
