Gus Tails
A Basset and his treats, part 1 (of many because a Basset can never have too many treats, or so Gus told me more than once).
Welcome to the sixth episode of Gus Tails where we look back at the life of Gus the Basset Hound. Last week in Episode 5 we learn that Gus can move at a speed faster than the camera can track.
This episode I provide more evidence of the great speed of a Basset Hound. Seemingly slow most of the day, when treats come their way it is best to get out of their way.
But first, a pose of elegance: Gus the Basset resting on a chair in soft sunlight and shadows.
One of Gus’ favorite treats was a rawhide flip chip. Chewing and gnawing with great efficiency no flip chip lasted long with Gus.
Here we see the great speed of a Basset Hound gnawing his prey. Notice the blur of the flip chip. Also notice that magnificent beefy paw.
Just a couple of minutes later the frenzy has intensified as Gus wrestles the flip chip
to the ground for the final devouring. Like a great white shark threshing its prey, Gus lets the world know that no flip chip is safe in his territory.
Next week in the seventh Episode of Gus Tails, Dyna shares Gus’ bed and Gus, ever the gentleman, puts up with this intrusion.
