Todays's beer is Shiner Candied Pecan Porter from Spoetzel Brewery & Distillery located in Shiner, Texas (due east of San Antonio). This is an interesting take on a Porter. It is brewed with roasted praline pecans, and the taste of pecans, vanilla, caramel and brown sugar comes through.
The Santa Claus is Lynn's and she had this from before we first met in January of 1982. Santa makes for a good backdrop for my December beer posts. You will see more of him this Advent season.
I don't like posting this late in the day. Guess I'll have to start drinking earlier…
