Welcome to the 12th episode of Gus Tails where we look back at the life of Gus the Basset Hound. Last week in Episode 11 300,000 plus miles in a Toyota Rav4, Gus napping, Gus holding court in the living room, tree ducks on the fence and Gus and Willow the pit bull playing.
Gus loves a bed and a blanket. This is his outdoor bed/cot, enhanced with a lightweight bed and one of his blankets. Gus had a collection of blankets, but only one favorite blanket at a time.
Gus stayed home for this adventure. The ram is about to warn us on we are on his territory. No animals or humans were injured in this incident.
A very tired Gus wishes I would put my camera away and just let him rest, or bring him a treat.
Another Gus’less adventure at Brazos Bend State Park south of Houston. This alligator was about six feet long, was enjoying the sun and didn’t mind me taking some photos. He did wish we had brought some chicken bits with us as that was one of his favorite snacks.
Gus playing with one of his stuffed animals.
This is Tiger, who seems to be a little tangled up.
Vanessa, Tiger and Gus. I think Tiger may have been battling Gus’ tail while Gus accepted his fate stoically.
Gus resting on one of his chairs, weary from the struggles of the day.
Seconds later, Gus awakens and quickly turns his good site to the camera.
During this time I was working in Southlake, Texas during the week and coming home on the weekends. Every Wednesday evening I drove up to Colleyville where there was a great package store with a very good selection of Texas craft beers. I would buy enough to last the rest of my week and weekend.
One Wednesday evening in Colleyville, I came across this elderly and handsome Basset Hound waiting for his humans.
Next week in Episode 13 see Gus as a young, handsome Basset Hound in all of his glory.
I love that picture of Tiger with the yarn! That was when I was trying to be a knitter and only created a Tiger-sized scarf! 😂
