Welcome to the 55th episode of Gus Tails where we look back at the life of Gus the Basset Hound. Our last episode (Episode 54) was a Gus only episode where we looked back to the fall of 2017.
Every episode of Gus Tails contains a link to the previous and, once it is published, future post. This makes it hopefully easy to walk back and forth through the life of Gus and his friends.
If you are new to Gus Tails and want to start at the beginning then Episode 1 of Gus Tails is for you!
Gus was a joyful Basset Hound. He believed that every person, every animal was destined to be his friend. However, there were times when the expression on Gus’ face hinted at something other than “Hello, friend!”
Above Gus looks annoyed with me taking yet another photo of him.
And at this point, he is clearly annoyed, perhaps on the verge of anger, believing I should either let him nap or I should bring him a treat.
Dyna, our first feral cat, relaxes on the couch. Dyna was a little cat, probably the runt of her litter, but she had more fur than most cats.
Gus is settled in for a long nap.
Later that same day you can see he has made progress, moving down to the other end of the couch.
A deer just outside the fenced in front yard of the house we were renting in Wimberley. Most times, deer don’t hang around when there are people or dogs about, but the deer were always curious about Gus.
Another time when Gus doesn’t seem all that pleased with me taking yet another photo.
Gus believed that any surface could be napped upon.
Louise, in contrast, enjoys a comfy sweater and pillows for her naps.
Gus ready for some porch time.
While any surface would work for a nap, Gus did appreciate resting on the couch, with a pillow and comforted close to paw.
Hope you enjoyed episode 55 of Gus Tails. Come back next week for episode 56!
